PASTORAL STAFF

Youth Director Pastor Peter Kerlin is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, and before coming to Church on the Rise in February of 2007 he was a Youth Pastor at Christ United Methodist Church in Lorain, Ohio.  

In college, Peter served in many areas including Campus Crusade for Christ, President of his Junior and Senior classes, Editor-in-Chief of the B-W College Newspaper, The Exponent, Director of the Distinguished Leaders Conference, President of the Public Relations Society, and member of a Baldwin-Wallace student/trustee Branding Committee that helped design the current branding and marketing that Baldwin-Wallace College still uses today. 

Peter has a passion to lead young people in worship and into a deeper and more solid relationship with Jesus Christ.  "I believe that empowering young people to take ownership and passion in this ministry instead of simply attending is what will cause a generation of young people to rise up and impact our local communities and in many ways our world." 

Peter loves watching Ohio State Buckeyes football, photography, dressing like an Express Model, texting, basketball, and holding a Gold's Gym Membership that he uses once a week (sometimes), and playing the whistle and fluto-phone with the Church on the Rise "not so primetime players."
